In 2002 EA & Dice presented the game that would be the foundation of the series.
BF1942
It was really cool.
The maps were huge.
The battles were big.
It was win.
Then....
Additional expansion packs were added..

In 2004 the sequel to 1942 was released.
Battlefield Vietnam.
-Cool.
-Lots of warfare.
-Number of patches was rising.
-Swapped a few of the kit guns (that was annoying).
In 2005 the game which blew everyones minds was released.
BF2
-Not sure why.. but in the minds of EA & Dice, it was considered realistic and good gameplay to fly jets and rape carriers. Even better, they didnt even have to LAND to resupply... GG.
Through most of the game, we enjoyed massive nade spamming wars, dolphin diving & claymores every 10m.
Then Dice got lazy in patching. It wouldnt be till 2009 before the final patch was released.
4 years to patch a game.
OMG.

Then in 2006, what was supposed to be a fun mod, was turned into a game by the greed of EA & Dice.
BF2142
None the less it was a great game.
Massive titans.
Less nade spam.
Better game play mechanics, and while the girls in BF2 were playing dolphins, we were playing a good game with 100% no dolphin diving.
Bad BF Server Lag.
Unfortunately the patching got bad in 2142.-Pod surfing.
-Server crashes. (Also present in BF2)
-Instability.
-The INFAMOUS 3 second stutter. THIS DROVE PEOPLE INSANE.
Imagine a game, where every server you join there is a stutter EVERY 3 seconds...
Was due to EA / PB fucking up.
2 months we had to endure that.
Lets not forget either, the terrible lost connection to EA..-This issue drove people bonkers.
Was due to EAs master server being overloaded, and they would just "drop" people to prevent overloading.
Why did it get overloaded....
Because EAs stupid design of having everyone for every EA game, have to maintain a connection to them as well as the multiplayer server they want to play on.
Eventually the final patch was released....
4 years later.
*The final patch 1.51 for BF2142, was only a beta dubbed "final". It didnt fix all the issues that were being promised to fix.
By the time the latest patch came, there were few left to enjoy it.
