    http://ppsh-41.tumblr.com/post/13145143504/entire-tamriel-landmass-built-into-skyrim

    Conspiracy ?

    Perhaps...

Seems strange one would build the entire landscapes of Cyrodil & Morrowind.
I never played morrowind, but I have played Oblivion set in Cyrodil and going off the map with no clip, just gives flat lands with nothing. Until you reach the end and thats it.

They did say that the DLC will be less frequent, but with much more in them.

    Sounds promising. Looks promising.

Will have to wait and see !

EDIT: Will be buying skyrim myself for xmas Very Happy

I was disappointed with skyrim. Download it off TPB. Every plotline is half assed and fails to deliver any sort of epicness. Oblivion in spite of its horrid leveling system had amazing stories/quests/ Dark brotherhood was epic.

Skyrim has nothing. total junk, totally predictable.

Martin septim turning into a dragon, brotherhood wipeout and betrayal. Totally awesome.
Skyrim legion/stormcloak = total generic and both exactly the same
Mainquest = Go do x activity to kill Y endgameboss.
    Mage guild = Find X, Y wants X, kill Y
Companions = go to cave, become werewolf
Brotherhood = Kill guys, bad event X happens, kill guys
    Radiant quests = Generic
City quests = didnt find a single one interesting

Even early in the main quest the only part that was semi interesting was the thalmora party. Thats it for coolness and all it was was talk to a drunk to distract people. Also capturing something in dragonsreach was ok.

Seriously dont rate skyrim vanilla. Its disappoint.

@crusader. Download it bro. Epic find. Easter egg and future DLC. The time of the neverene is over, theres no reason we cant return to morrowind in dlc. Mabey they released such a half assed game because morrowind was in the works.

Fash it sounds like you don't like any game from all of your reviews/opinions... Just saying...

I personally love skyrim. It's the one thing I play when i get home from school. I love the quests: most are really fun. I have not played any of the other Elder scrolls games (don't know how similar they are), but one thing I know for sure is skyrim is a fun game Smile

Not downloading it because if you check carefully most of the Skyrim torrents have malware & tracking software hidden in it. (Yes even the famous users with green skulls torrents)

Also there is a point to the skyrim story line. If you have a look at the 4th era political maps, you will see why.

@altimaden wtf? you pretty much just described EVERY rpg. -- I described the questlines in their entirety. Whats written there is skyrim in text format. Bethesda got lazy and dumbed down a masterpiece to generic garbage for the masses. Didnt play morrowind? You'd rate oblivion highly. Sure it beats dragon age, gothic, fable etc. But spend hundreds of hours on both, read up on lore, explore every cell in the game, explore every quest and niche then play skyrim and you'll feel raped. Literally, like someone pulling down your pants and putting it in you. It's slack and lazy and I cant think of a single instance that matches TES of old.

Morrowind 5 minutes in, an elf falls from the sky and dies. you loot his corpse and find scrolls that fortify acrobatics 6500000 and a journal. you pop one and shoot up into the air like he did. Its lols, cute and awesome. Oblivions darkbrotherhood makes you fall in love with every character in the guild, sends you on kill X as well as go to a mansion with 5 other people, they think they're doing a treasure hunt. Eliminate them all without them seeing you. You can use text to trick them into paranoia, stealth/poison anything. Mainquest oblivion i thought martin would summon akatosh using the amulet, no he turned into a dragon, i was like zomg! Since nobody will read this, ill spoil skyrim. Entire main quest. Kill a dragon, train with greybeards, escort the blades, learn kill dragon spell from greybeards dragon, trap a dragon and ride him to meet bad dragon. defeat bad dragon and he flies away. Seriously, apart from trapping the dragon, i was like QQQ done this before fags.

It's good you like it. Your first TES experience is prob the best as it goes downhill. I guess i just get mad when developers re-invent the wheel and paint it another colour then sell it to us for $90 aud then while we endure their flawed product for months, they release dlc that fixes the problems we've had over the last three months for the low sum of $10 aud.

@volt Fash it sounds like you don't like any game from all of your reviews/opinions... Just saying----- I dont like any game that's been done before without any improvement or niche. Graphics updates doesnt justify a new game. I want to buy a game and say 'Wow this is a new and amazing concept'

    The following games did something

Farenheight/Indego Phrophecy = Innovated character control (never done before or after, + first guitar hero)
The Guild 2: = innovated political intrigue + rpg + resource trading/construction + the sims
Europa Universalis = World map stratergy
    Capitalism 2 = Business sim
    Starcraft 1 = RTS
    Halflife = FPS
Mount and blade = RPG+RTS+FPS with the best combat mechanics i've ever experienced
Dota = invented a new game genre
bf1942 = Combined multiplayer fps with vehicle combat including air.
morrowind = voice acting (for me at least)
Hitman = first action based stealth game i played. Disguises + assassination are awesome.

Honourable mention for story; 'Second sight', 'morrowind' 'kotor 1 and 2'

These are foundation games that 'broke' their respective genres. Nothing compared to them before hand, everything after is a replica with negligable improvement.

@Fash There is not much more you can do with games and anything really. We have pretty much come up with everything that can be come up with and all that can be done is modifying it to be slightly different and do something slightly different. Like all games do and technology in general is modify old ideas and plans to create something 'new' as they say. I personally wasn't too impressed with skyrim but i wasn't impressed with oblivion either.

    @Cru Nice interesting read there.

    np guys.

Btw I hope they do allow us to travel to Cyrodil.

I loved teh land scape from Oblivion.
Only bad bit about the game is lack of troops to help you.

*Why I used a "follow me" mod to make town guards & imperial troops follow me to battle through the oblivion gates.

My condolences fash, bitterness and cynicism have killed your appreciation for gaming . However you do make a very good point. They just don't make games like they used to. I think its all target audience. Who was playing video games (on PC) during 80's-90's mostly geeks(no offence to anyone) people *had* to be smart to play PC games or else they just didn't work. which in turn raised the bar of expected game content . you think people back then cared about the resolution of their 2D sprites? They were just glad to have colour graphics. Imagination is under-rated, though well all know what TV did to that!!

Think about some of the earlier games that came out. Like Dune, net hack, civilization.(im sure we all have our own memories of diff games back then) Horrible graphics but the game play was what was important .After the 90's , game quality has been dropping ever since.

Its funny how some people argue that games are a perfectly normal entertainment medium, just like movies etc. They do share many similarities, but you don't spend 50 hours watching a movie. Developers seriously need to re-evaluate their priorities, game play, motherfckers, game play. they why people brought the first game of watever shitty series that is being re-hashed, again. Games now, just like the movies, accept the removal of story, character development and plot just so they can add some shiny fx and explosions.

ok...got a bit carried away there...i have one last point

WHEN??? WHEN WILL THEY START RELEASING FINISHED GAMES AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I do not pay $50-$100 to be a part of beta-testing.
EVERY fkn game these days. I swear the internet killed quality in videogames. They just dont care anymore.

    and back on topic
That's a pritty epic easter egg, but i mean i was kind of expecting skyrim to be that big, why cant we access the rest of the world, 3 words... DLC.

So games that are already invented are your proof that you can invent something entirely different? They have already been invented and now most games are just modifications of them.

Drzdeano more atriculately expressed my point. Ya, unfinished games and modern era dumbasses. Civ2 memories, my uncle saying 'Hey my friend at work said this 'star craft' game was good so i baught it, lets play back in the 90's. I can remember sitting on a pentium 2 for weeks finishing the campain and my uncle said 'Hey, i heard it has a multiplayer too!' gg. or the first time you learnt to play minesweeper, or when you first played halflife. Memories that stick for life from a game. Most recent for me was Mount and Blade, go play it Razz

@blood the list denotes the new innovations. WHen im paid 50k a year to utilize a game design degree i'll do it.

so go do a game design degree, still wont help you write a new story, because everything has been done. im talking in broader terms, i.e. typical love story, typical espionage story...actually science fiction is in my opinion where you experience the most creativity in stories.

when something stands out, it's not just because its something new and never done before, remember mirrors edge? no? nobody does.
it stands out because the people who made it actually care about the content rather than the sales. capitolism ruins art in all its forms.

back 20 years ago, the game industry was no where near as big, less money went into developing and producing games so the developers HAD to care more about the game itself.

you're complaint is with capitolism, not game developers. want better games? stage a coup.

Yeah i agree that games these days are not as good as they used to be but to be honest it's going to be hard to actually make something innovative and different to everything that really captures people. But another sad thing about today is everyone is going maintstream and don't touch the independant games which can be the best ones. Everyone wants their new and updated version of COD or BF each year and that amuses their attention for a year until the next dodgy piece of shit.

personally as a young(ish) gamer i play lots of different games, from battlefield and the older CODS to batman to lock on (combat flight sim) and suberbike 10 (circuit racing bike sim) to limbo and portal and heavy rain which is still my favourite game of all time because the storyline was just so fucking fantastic and it integrated as best a game could with a controller
not to mention the RPGs like skyrim and eve online (but not WoW)
