Anonamalous Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:51 pmMy computer has lately been an ass and goes either black screen or stripy black/white screen. I can remain on vent for about 5 seconds after it pops up but my PC will stop responding and i have to manually restart it. Any idea what it is? My dad and his mate thinks its my graphics overheating (Its only happened since i got my new card) but im not sure, i had my fan running on it and it still crashed. Its also not my OS because it does it on XP as well.

What sort of card do u have mate? Try turning the fan speed up on it

Definitely sounds like an overheating issue. Can in VERY rare situations be not enough output from your PSU. You will need to look at better cooling by the sounds of it.
