BATTLEFIELD 3!

tbh i h8 this game alot. It's just call of duty with vehicles and a little more detail.This is not like the classic Battle field i know.

Who are you?

BF3 isn't meant to be a nicer-looking version of BF2. It's meant to be a sequel with new/different gameplay; picking the best from both worlds and mashing it together to have a game that appeals to the masses, while still retaining the core of BF (e.g. Conquest). It works for me

Im new to this arena after many years and have a copy of Modern warfare for pC.If you take clan membership out of the equation in my opinion BF3 is a much better game for variety especially.. I agree that Conquest for one is cool requiring team work.. The online MW3 and small tiny maps just doesnt do it for me... I came to this arena as my sons and his friend play ... console MWarfare and a couple of them owned Battledfield and were looking forward to BF3..

I have been playing a cool WW1 fyling Sim called Rise of Flight for a few months .. If you crazy pilots want a challenge try downloading the free to play version which gives you several planes to try .. Find a Hardcore server like Oceanic Wing and see how good your piloting skills are there in real seat of your pants flying using only your eyes to see your foe and trying to shoot them down with a machine gun.. No radar, no flares,, no high rate of fire.. Real deflection. real gunnery real flight model. It is very challenging and frustrating but much more closer to real life and the way it was in the early days of flight when computers didnt fly the plane for you.

Older guys like me need a real joystick and rudder pedals but some of you young guys with PC keyboard skills mightn fimd you can get the hand of it as Im sure your faster leraners than the generation that grew up on slow PC's with no grunt and necver had to type a word until we were in high school.... ah memories of how it used to be ... LOL.. definately not the good old days for gamers back then...

I have to agree with golden Battlefield is feeling less and less battlefield-ish sure COD is has some fun mechanics but when I put in battlefield I want to play Battlefield not something like Call of Duty. Plus beating MW3 is really a challenge COD fell after COD 4 and BF3 it should be setting a example.

Btw if BF2 was Battlefield 2000 so BF3 is Battlefield 3000?

I have to agree that BF3 is more COD although the B2K maps are awesome, I'm loving the openness of them and not metro-spam-fest. (Unless I get the F35, what a hunk of shit. Seriously, I would rather one of Squizzy's Sopwith camel's or something to take on a flanker than the f35, makes me rage hard)

The fact that anyone can say BF3 is more like COD or getting that way will ALWAYS be wrong as long as you have the ability to a) Drive Vehicles.. b) Blow up a building your opposition is hiding in. BF3 is light years ahead of anything in COD. Destruction, Physics, Graphics.

They will always to different game but Battlefield has picked a "traits" from COD

They now have the COD crosshairs which I hate on the LMGs
Health Regeneration
More than halving health bar
Huge massive etc Buff on engineer SMGs now they have assault rifles *facepalm*
Sniper rifles have shit show in close fights
Generally making it less of class based shooter like TF2 to more of do what you want like COD with all class weapons and buffs to certain class non anti personal class like engineer and recon.

Watch the crosshairs from the Ganz HMG in 2142 from crus

It blooms when you move around so the skill in support kit was lowering that as much as possible and you could see it. Now I had no clue was the level of bloom is and if in the series anymore. The support was the anchor in the team holding back and getting the kills now the charging in like the assault class but with a LMG. This bad becasue Battlefield is a class based shooter and is being COD because you can use what you want .

Which are taken from real life ... so many good games have been ruin by that phrase; it a game if you want real life go outside.

Ok sorry but you see the change in crosshairs for 2142 to bfc2 and Bf3 in Bf2 they had the same crosshairs and integrate sight with them. The LMGs post 2142 have a different role now they assault rifles with larger clip sizes and that what angering people like me and golden pre BFBC2 there was more defined roles in the series you picked of the support kit from maxing out you assualt you did shit because you charge everywhere had massive bloom and took 5 sec for it to go down and then your gun overheats while the enemy tears you a new asshole. While now you can switch kits and the only difference is clip size . Sure has more guns but there the same gun with difference skins which COD is infamous for.

Just watched a video on MW3 and the soldiers look like stick-men with clothes on, the movements are crap, when the guy runs around a corner his body is leaning over as if he is on a bicycle?

Gimme something that looks and feels real like BF3 and it's all on Baby!

BF3 feels way better than cod in that it doesn't feel like a typical easy arcade game. It feels way more intense and brings you into the game more than a stupid cod game. Also wtf is with your english hopeless?

What are you guys talking about, COD is an awesome game. the actions and graphics are pretty realistic, the game play is brilliant fast paced, close up, spray and pray action where you can completley defy the laws of physics and break convention of using firearms. You are even able to train your guy extra with perks, to build up the things that you think are more necessary. the close quarter maps are brilliant, there is very little anyone can hide without being found. I mean what soldier doesnt run around with a small computer that can instantly connect to a predator drone, ac130, choppers, jets, and can pull dogs out of a magic hat. All in all it is a better game than BF3 if you are:
1) immature.
2) cant aim, so you choose smg weapons or machine pistols that spray hundreds of bullets in a few seconds.
3) love being able to defy physics.
4) hacker.
5) a camper.
6) noob.

Having said that it is still fun, when you dont get put with (1,2,4,5,6) from the above list.

And hey y would you want to pilot jets, or choppers when you can call them in and watch them roam around the whole map by themselves not getting a single kill because the AI cant be bothered to take of thermal vision to see the people using cold blooded(MW2) equivalent.

none of your must have played hardcore team tactical on cod then... if that game mode were introduced in to bf3... we would have a winner.. i enjoy cod for that game style. slow, tactical, team based, lots of communications..

i realise the whole bf3 vs COD thing but really , how old is everyone?
two seperate games both are aimed for different target audiences.

If had not of joined SoV(any clan for that matter) i doubt i would be still playing bf3.
teamwork with pubs? ah ahaha ah ahahahahahahaah (the easy to use voice comm system REALLY helps there)


BF3 is fun with a team (NOT TO MENTION IS A FUCKING PC GAME)
COD is 'fun' by yourself (CONSOLE TITLE DOESNT ANYONE GET THIS?)
(yes i could think of better ways to have fun by myself too)


what IS stupid is when these games try to mimic each other.

tim, i havnt played that mode, but i still really like cod, just get annoyed because i am now lvl 68 and have had a grand total of 2 games that havnt being ruined by someone, either hacker, server drop out, host change -> crash, absolutly shocking team or an opposition that sits camping a corner with fmg89 akimbo. mw2 and cod 4 i still love to bits.

I've liked all the cods that i've played and all the battlefields, both are great games depending on what you feel like playing. But i really think cod should do something more innovative than rape the same engine over and over.

yes i agree, still reckon that if cod and bf3 came together to make a game that would be awesome. have bf3 gameplay style outside the city, and have cod inside. make the maps huge so it is like real life warfare.
