battlefield 3 problem

I recently just bought this game at target for the pc, and it took me all night to download. after that i tried to start it up, it would say "launching" but wouldn't do anything. So instead I just play it off of here but i can't pay for 5 minutes without it freezing on me! Please tell me how I can fix this, I like this game and would like to be able to play it. P.S. The launching problem!

Also why is it my my game crashes so often?
