ProCon Guide

In preparation for the big switch. It would be useful if Server Admins download ProCon (Only if you have been given the all sacred RCon password).

ProCon Download and Setup.

First download ProCon and unpack it anywhere you want on your computer. Best to make a folder on your Desktop called ProCon and unpack it there. Once its unpacked its all installed and ready to go. Open it up and click Create Connection. Input 203.217.24.27 and 48888 as the port. Don't worry about a Username. Input the RCon password (Same as BC2CC) and click connect. Wow! You've made a connection to the server. DO NOT adjust any of the server settings. If you fiddle with any of the settings then you will cause conflicts between the Master Client (Holy) and yours. Making pairs of messages come up. You will be added in game by Holy. The tabs you can use are: Players, Chat, Map and Events. Left clicking in a player selects them and displays an info box in the bottom left. In the bottom right is a kick/ban/kill box which is very handy because it keeps it on the one screen. Right clicking on the players name displays a menu which you can use to switch the player between teams/squads and do a stats look-up.

Please, if you are given Client access Don't screw around with any of the settings. As Holy's client runs 24/7 (with the exception of restarts) all changes must be applied to his client to be set globally.

Who are the server admins, and who / how will we decide on it ?

Also I think we should have a ratio of admins per game server.

The only comment I will make on it. Is please use the admin abilities wisely and as a last resort.

Of course you guys should be able to be trusted as you were all admins before hand.


But I think its worthy taking note, that just because we havent set the rules yet doesnt mean there should be any significant changes since the 3 strikes rule from before hand.

Essentially I dont want the clan to be known for admin abuse / poor admining.

i dont think anyone who has admin atm has done a poor job in the past.

Im a bit OCD when it comes to it unfortunately.

In OTF we had to kick the entire first admin team we had for abusing admin powers.

Then even some of the higher admins started doing it and had to kick them too.


Crazy times..

alright you should fresh start two with that ocd thing about admins.

if we have any problems lets discuss it before discussing with the person who
is making a complaint.

otherwise everything should be alright, and be sure to jump on vent when you can to make
yourself known to the newer people? cool.

Every friday is my gaming night.

I will make a goal to be on every friday.

I reckon anywhere between 2 to 3 per server (assuming they all play often) would keep it covered and even if one aint on would hopefully make at least one contactable just my opinion

Currently added to the PRoCon Master Client (PMC) is Holy, secrets and myself.
We can add in more of necessary. Also have a read of PRoCon Plugins if you feel we are missing anything server related.
