While in vent a couple of nights ago (i think it was shippsy, sorry if it wasn't) mentioned that he had heard a rumour that bf3 was comming to steam, unfortunatly someone from EA has replied stating that it is exactly that "a rumour"

I was considering cancelling my preorder from EB.
Oh well..
BF3 digital versions via Origin, are stored on Akamai caches so your ISPs should have these for your to download the game just as fast (if not faster) than steam.
