SoV TRAINING 1.0 - Server Setting Adjustment

Ok yall - Sign in for training this thursday night!

SERVER: GALDR (GameArena Ladder Test Server)
TIME: 7pm Canberra time til late.
OBJECTIVE: Play through the ladder maps on the ladder settings.
Even sides, working as teams in separated vent channels (either by squad or team depending on numbers).
Essentially freeplay on the right settings so we can adjust.

Lets commit to something here and just play it by ear
- suffice to say we will be figuring out who will be in the first run on team for scrims
coming up so if you wanna scrim ATTEND!

I'm offline till friday next week, so I guess I'll miss the next one.

maybe next week we can work on tactics?
instead of people jumping straight into it maybe we can decide on a map and work on it

metro for example.

defense cap A & B

2 squads split up to 3 groups to guard the 3 stairs/escalators
while attack try to get past.

thats just to work on defence and trying to hold/keep a point.


same goes with defending B and C at those 3 doorways from A
guarding those to not let them past

and each team can take turns. i know that was our first training but if we start
rolling out some tactics and make official scrim training teams for each week
say first week defence
second week attack
and say at the end of each training we have a couple rounds.

if that makes sense -.-

I like the idea of that, working on actual tactics and ironing them out till we all know our positions for the move and just go there automatically.

It would be a good idea for something like that for specific people to stick to the same position so they get to know it inside and out kinda thing.
Main problem with doing that though is if someone can't make it then we would have to try and fill their spot with someone who isn't use to it.

But yeah, even a little discussion before hand in vent with everyone running around and looking at the lay out of the map and where we could have our fields of fire/coverage for every entrance/exit into areas etc...

In regards to last night, I thought it went pretty well, I was loving my C4 and that full Cap win when we were nearly 150 or so behind was just magic!

yes, no shooting, just walking and talking. like a hollywood tour. i know its painful, but everytone must know. we cannot assume.

also, in the next one i want to see people working on infantry more and developing tactics to take out enemy armour. ie. 3 simitaniouus rockets destroying a tank on sight, c4 traps, ect.

yeah good ideas secrests, i like the training teams, just have to keep them balanced.

Everyone needs to listen and obey the orders properly. If secrets says "Defend blah blah" then you stay there! Too many people running around and not listening.
