    Hey guys,

    Im a little lost with figuring out port forwarding, i need to do this so i can host a server for a game. I've googled it but i cant understand whatever the fuck they are on about, so i was wondering if any of you guys new how to do it.

    this website is great. Just click on the router you use, ( or the closest model to it )

    Then find the game you need to port forward for.



    You can either do:

    Port forward - port forwards ONE port. ( can choose incomming & outgoing port on most routers )

    Port Range Forwarding - range of ports to open.

    Port triggering - only opens when the program ( on the inside network I beleive ) needs to access it. <- Most secure. However I tried this with BF2142 & the game didnt like it and lagged like a mother fucker.




    I would just do port forward, only use range forwarding when its a few ports you need opened in a row.
