    Hey guys,

I had a set of Sennheiser HD202 headphones only a few hours ago before the left side started cutting out and eventually stopped completely, no matter how much I move the wire round.

So I'm thinking I'll have a crack at trying to fix it up but I think if I'm successful I'll just pass them onto someone else and buy a new set in the meantime.

Anyone have any ideas of headphones that they would highly recommend?

I was happy with the sound quality of the 202's but I think the build quality has let them down so I'm looking at spending that bit extra on something that will hopefully last awhile.

    No. Those are for consoles.

Get some Logitech G35's or Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Sigmas.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I like the name of Turtle Beach, sounds like fun haha, and having wireless headphones would of course solve the problem that plagued my old set of the wire cutting out.

Though while I was looking up G35 and Tactic3D reviews from Scarecrows suggestions I came across Razer Carcharias at the end of the review. They were suggesting to go for those instead if you have a sound card, I've got an XtremeGamer in at the moment, as it mainly uses the 3.5 jack instead of USB.
So I looked it up and found a NZ site that actually has 55% off them at the moment. $200 down to $95 isn't too bad of a discount. And the reviews of them are fairly solid.

Anyone ever tried those headphones before?

I personally use the Tactic3D sigmas. Comfy ear cups, 3D sound, removeable mic, voice morph etc.

I don't have anything against G35's, it was just that these were cheaper at the time I bought them

got myself a set of turtlebeach x11 for the pc, they pump out decent bass for the explosions and a great feature is any voice communication you broadcast gets looped back into the headset so you know how loud you're speaking.

only gripe with them is they're powered via USB (meant for xbox and pc) and that causes constant buzzing, so i would recommend going for a turtlebeach headset dedicated to the pc that only has 3.5mm input and output jacks
