Ingame Admins and ProCon Layered Hosting

With a spur of the moment idea I've purchased and will be funding a PRoCon Layer Server which we can use to help run our server. Also it means that Flashback doesn't need to worry about hosting it on his server which will be a burden off his shoulders. It will serve as the centralized client.
The benefits of this are:

- All PRoCon Traffic is directed to the server.

- No need to distribute configured PRoCon clients. (Saves me having to upload different versions to the High Council.)

- The ability for Ingame Admins to not only have access in game but will allow them to have their own client running when not in game to supervise the server.

- Easier running of the server and a slight increase in server performance.

- 100% up time so everyone can close their clients when going to bed and it will still administer the server. Its like having PRoCon running 24/7.

- Keeps better track of Server Admins behavior.

- Will display the particular admin's name instead of "Admin:" which increases accountability and helps player identify and distinguish Server Admins.

Once its up and configured I'll be changing the master password and setting up the High Council accounts first. (Don't worry guys you will be Pmed with the details.) Once this is done then we can start getting applications in for Server Admins.

Sounds great. Will the previous admins be carried over or do applications need to be placed?

We would much rather pay for hosting with a reputable hosting service with excellent security rather than a bunch of people who's sole mission is to steal RCon passwords.

no one does things for free these days with out some kind of motive ?

Exactly. For them to host the layer they would need the RCon password which I would NEVER give out to some random.

It's your own loss. We have over 88 users, none of them have ever had any of there services messed with, and it clearly states in our TOS that we will under no terms use the information given to edit, change or alter any services or servers unless given open permission to do so. We also give the user the right to prosecute any member of our support/representation team who does partake in such acts. Not only that, but I am currently the only member of the team who has access to such information, as does your hosting provider, whomever they be. You have to be aware of this. I understand that you are reluctant to hand over such important information, however free things are still available, and people such as yourself are the ones whom eventually are going to make that impossible.

I'd rather pay $2 a month than give out information to a group I've never heard of.

While your motives may be for good & pure.
We have alot of members that invest time and money into the clans servers.

Their interests and the clans security are paramount, we respect that and as such our server administrator has chosen to stick with our current provider, which currently has a proven track record with us.
