we should have a vent meeting about it very soon set some goals and see what Fash Ray Mol Wife myself and other who are keen to play would like to do, atm i can only think of 5 of us that will play my other half wont play till she has seen me play which means she will get it 2 or 3 days after i get it.

from what i read it sounds like the have taken Aion WOW and SW smashed them together added some EA and dash of Bioware and a ton of Lucasarts and got a really good game im so hooked and i for once didnt play a beta.

i'm just down for enjoying the game when its released, i think when i get to like lv 15 or above is when finding friend to join up with is good but it would be nice to do some group quests
with friends. depends what everyone is though

lv 12 is when you leave your home planet but im most likely being a sith warrior
so my start planet is korriban

i think mo is pretty set on bounty so his start planet is hutta

but if your a SW or a SI then we can group quest till we leave our home planet
that would be good.

Ya think the both of us are going Assassin....... there could be a chance i go sorcerer if i see we are going to be doing alot of PVP (i do like my PVE as well). i know most people like to Pwn Pwn and not heal so being a healer is not just an advantage to me but also my Guild/party.

A SW, Bounty and 2 SI is a good start not sure what fash is going to roll but im sure he will let us know.

no my sister has got it from EA for me which i believe comes out on the 23rd but its a xmas gift so wont get it till the 25th which gives me a good 9 10 days on BF3 new patch.

As much as i like the look of assassin and playing a melee class i think i might go for Sorcerer, healers are always so few and far between and for a small group like ourselves ill fit in perfect.

A video i pulled up when i was looking up more about that class i am thinking about playing when Tor comes out.

Recovered from the final beta weekend. 32 Jug, 26 sniper. Wasnt grinding was just doing quests efficiently. Each char had about 20 valour 1/3 of the req for level 50 pvp gear.

Warzones offer medals to

Killing blow
75k Damage total
Assassin aka Solo kill
Kill X enemies
2.5k Damage in 1 hit
2.5k Healing
2k Protection (use defence skill on allies)
10k Protection
1k defender points (obj)
3k Defender points
5k Defence (Doing stuff to block damage to self)


SI has the ability to score every obtainable medal (prob have to stack defence on epic items or something dumb), as its the only class with a heal + guard. Win or loss, more medals = more rewards. SI and BH get a lot less warzone respect.

Tonnes of SW's, hardly saw any in warzones. Guess they're pve nubs. SI/BH were everywhere in WZ's.

I personally will roll on the 'unofficial' aus server but will prob join some elitest hardcore group with strict raid times and no scrubs. There's a tonne of dumb people in BF3 and they can ruin your game by doing stupid stuff, they're worse in SWTOR. Seriously, I had 2 weekends and the game felt familiar and easy. With the exception of having to right click on some obscure objective with a quest item, its all really really simple, but the people who play just seem dumb.

Ya, you can solo to at least 32 with ease. SW should use quin. Damage and heals is just gg, i tried using (avoiding spoilers) a melee dps companion who i got third through one of the coolest moments of action/dialogue in all my kotor days and really wanted to use him/her/it but jug needed heals.

SW's retaliation is an amazing dps mechanic, leveling is a breeze with immortal spec. You're a walking god and nothing can touch you (pro tip, 3 points in smash early on for +wins)

SW Dominates hutball at 50 with force charge and intercede (jumps to ally @ 30m range)

Low level vids give a bad impression imo. Aspiring SW's should watch this:

In short. If you buy it overseas then activate it, due to the region lock, when they setup servers in the oceanic region then your game will be locked to US or EU.

as frustrating as it is by now being released in Australia at the same time, we should look at the positives, hopefully they will have cleared up some bugs by the time we get it so we might score a nice launch in Australia

Yeah but everyone else will have leveled up whilst we are stuck at the start like little noobs. Everyone will be able to pick the Australians.

I HATE THOSE EA SUPPPORT PEOPLE!! They refused to help me when i tried to change my name. I am currently in the process of writing a letter of complaint to EA because of the lack of help i received.

unless they give us brand new servers so we play against other players who have just started also and dont let older players transfer for like 3 months.

they could do something like that. they had the same thing on wow kind of, Oceanic sever in the US. if they do the same for Aust and NZ when the severs open for Aust and NZ we get a fresh start no yanks rickrolling us.

Do what I did. Complain and accuse them of being unfair or some other nasty thing and tell them you want some sort of a discount code. Thats what i did and I netted a 20% off code from a problem that I made up

they are refusing to change my name because apparantly i cannot prove that i own the account. I even took an ss of my accounts page and our convo (to prove i wasnt making it up) and showed it to him and he said that it could have been made up.

Tell them if they can't provide a service that they are meant to then you would like a full refund of the PURCHASE price. Usually that scares them because they don't a) like to lose customers and b) don't like giving money back.

EDIT: If you have a physical copy of the game then take a pic of your CD Key. They can then link it to the account. Usually then will tell you to write a code above your CD Key on the manual then send a pic to them. Similar to what Valve does.

EU vendors will have codes for sale by the 13, Ebay by the 15th (be carefull scams in the past), and an abundance of websites will email you the code on the 19th.

As long as you have submitted a pre-order code in the swtor website you'll get early access from the 13th-20th. During those days you can play but come 10pm CST 19th dec you'll need to have entered your game code and set up a subscription.

Absolutely no news on an australian localized server.

PvP servers are not like wow where baren ganks and corpse camping exists.

Players gain nothing for open world ganks. The entire game is instanced off till level 20ish. if someone kills you, you rez on the spot or at med zone. On the spot rez gives you 15 secs invis that cant be detected to ninja away. Alternatly each planet/zone/area in the open world has 3 instances. Got ganked in instance 1? during stealth, change to instance 2 or 3. Griefing is next to impossible more than once unless the guy is a retard.

Got to level 32 and 26 and never saw open world pvp. Found a total of 1 'gank' video on youtube. yes, grand total of 1 guy recording getting ganked.


I reccommend playing asap and transfering later for ping reduction!

Aussies who dont want to wait 2-7 days for amazon to post it should/can buy from an EU/US digital vendor who will just email a code to play.

The confusion was we(all players) were told there would be a grace period of 2-7 days to allow for physical deliveries to arrive. No such grace period so buy a retail key/code online.

No region locking ingame, only for purchase. Legit keys will appear on EU sites on the 13th and US on the 15th.

well on a good point i have the Download client. its a 25gb download fyi, will download it over a few days just befor net resets so i dont cap net. then i guess i'll do what Fash is going to do, sounds like the best plan.

you should find out Fash when you buy your CD key if the seller is willing to do a deal and sell 5 keys at a fixed price!?!?!

net has capped so cant do to much. wondering if anyone knew if the Gear in Tor is all 1 set as in what you wear works for PVE and PVP, and whats the go with severs are there going to be the 2 types PVP and PVE? not that it makes a difference.

Ya, theres pvp, pve and rp. No difference other than player mentality.

Ilum/outlaws/warzones more popular on pvp servers mabey longer ques on pve servers.

Ya, theres essentially 2 sets of gear. Appearantly 'its like wow's resilliance', the gear has +str, +end thats universal as well as +expertise.

Expertise gives %bonuses to damage and healing while in pvp that has no effect on pve.

Looking at top tier crafted items to top tier pvp items the difference seems insignificant. I dont know enough about raid loot for comparison and dont know if its on the website or if the database lists all critted craft stuff and raid drops.

Im just gonna play the game, will hit 50 in a week or to, trying or not. Que a warzone 24/7 and from level 10-50 buy 'champion boxes' for 'champion tokens' to buy the champion pvp set. At 50 camp outlaws den in a group of 2 while warzone qued for merc coms to contribute to pvp gear and by the time I get the full set enough people should be 50 and raiding. I dont think ilum offers more than just daily kill 15 guys/cap a point.
